Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is a well-known American singer and actor. Her birthplace and childhood was in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier), an RN, and Tom Bell, a television news director. Her heritage includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish as well as Scottish (father). Kristen developed a talent in the performing arts from a young stage. When she was in 1992, the actress went to her first audition and won a role in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell had an agent appointed by her mother before the age 13 and she was subsequently hired as a model in advertisements on television and newspapers. Also, she began private acting classes at the age of 13. Bell appeared on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998, as an uncredited actress. Bell was a part of the music and drama club at Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school and she took home the role of Dorothy. Following graduation, Bell moved to New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts and learned about musical theatre. Bell completed her studies in 2001, decided to leave her university studies to perform the role Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. In the same year, she starred in Pootie Tang, but the scene where she played the role was removed. As a result, only her credit sequence exists. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
